    For Microsoft TechEd Australia the team at WARDY IT Solutions have delivered a showcase application that illustrates how the power of Business Intelligence in SQL Server 2008 R2 can be combined with an engaging, interactive user experience using Silverlight.

    Twitter Trends is a Silverlight application that displays real-time analytics from Twitter. It shows the number of tweets per hour and the number of tweets over the last 7 days as well as whom the top tweeters are on a given topic. This solution can be used to analyse Twitter to see what the social influence of any topic is.

    Microsoft TechEd Australia is Australia's largest annual technology event. This year's event is being held at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 24-27th of August.

  • August SQL Server Breakfast

    WARDY IT Solutions is running a Free SQL Server breakfast in Brisbane on Tuesday the 10th of August. Catering will be served from 7:30am with the one hour presentation starting at 8:00am.

    IT departments and end users have traditionally been at odds with each other over self-service analytics. IT departments seek to maintain IT governance and control; whilst end-users want to generate and manage their own content and reporting.

    In this breakfast session WARDY IT Solutions will demonstrate how with the managed self-service business intelligence features in SQL Server 2008 R2, these two worlds can meet to provide significant business advantage.     The PASS Summit is the world's largest and best SQL Server and BI Conference.

    Once again WARDY IT Solutions Chief Technical Architect, Peter Ward has been selected as one of the most dynamic and knowledgeable speakers in the SQL Server industry to present a Spotlight Session at the PASS Summit.   • Hobart SQL Server 2008 R2 Launch Event

    WARDY IT Solutions is proud to announce that they will be delivering the SQL Server 2008 R2 Launch Event in Hobart.

     

    The Launch of SQL Server 2008 R2 is a workshop that will be conducted as a free ½ day Hot Lap. A Hot Lap is a quick and concise way of finding out what is new in SQL Server 2008 R2 and how these changes will improve database operations, developer efficiency and enable self-service Business Intelligence solutions.

    WARDY IT Solutions is running a Free SQL Server breakfast in Brisbane on Thursday the 3rd of June. Catering will be served from 7:30am with the one hour presentation starting at 8:00am.

     

    This Breakfast will show how SQL Server 2008 R2 can be used to easily deliver maps and spatial data visualization. With Reporting Services it is now possible to consume and visualize geospatial and geometry data directly. In this presentation you will see how to combine multiple datasets using map layers including local and state boundaries.
