This is a bit overdue as Kevin Kline tagged me in a meme post to help people get ready for their travel to PASS. However, we were too busy with travel (we were in Australia at the time) to get to it. And, while this year's PASS has past, it's not too late for travel in general OR for next year! I suspect that a few folks are already ...

Well... it's finally been released and last week was the book launch. This book came together first as a goal by Paul Nielsen who was motivated by Steve Ballmer's request that MVPs "give back" even more and even outside of the direct technical community. Paul had the idea of a book - written for charity - and contributed to by ...

Of course the number one reason isn't even listed here - that is you can seek out the SQLBLOG.com bloggers and give them a ...

I like to attend sessions from both areas - SQL covers both areas. I am glad they combined it this year (as it should be IMHO). Once again, I will be in the TLC area where I LOVE to ...

This morning, I woke to a wonderful email and I thought I would share it:
Good morning Kimberly, I just wanted to send you an email to let you know how awesome you are! I have applied some of your indexing strategies to our website’s homegrown CMS and we are experiencing a significant performance increase. WOW....amazing ...

We've opened up the call for abstracts for the FALL Connections show and Paul's already blogged all about it. Because most of you read both of our blogs, I won't repeat it here but - if you don't read Paul's blog (ah, really - you don't? Why not?? ;-)) then here's the link: ...

While working on several other items earlier tonight, I remembered that the PASS Keynotes were on the PASS website from this past Summit. Perhaps one of the best keynotes that I had heard in sometime was by Dr. David DeWitt. This keynote was more like a classroom lecture than a marketing keynote. If you had slept in on Friday ...
